Made It Monday I Made a Cool Holiday Ornament

// October 29th, 2012 // madeitmonday, Mixed Media, Journals & Papercraft

We have started so fun swaps over in the community and one of them is to create a holiday ornament. So I decided to work on my handmade ornament over the weekend. I had alot of fun making it and I love how it came out. Its really lightweight even though it doesn’t look it. I hope whoever gets it really enjoys it. Want to be a part of this fun swap, its free to join us and the community.

I made this using a paper mache star base. I added the embellishment, used some paint mists and a polymer clay flower I made with a metal center. Total mixed media!

    Oh my – THAT kind of ornament – I think I misunderstood this swap and was going to make something like a figurine… ornament. But a tree decoration ornament… ahhh… I see.

    I don’t think it HAS to be a tree ornament. It is must my impression but as a member of the swap I wouldn’t want to make our members fit into too tight of guidelines. LOL (As if crafters ever REALLY follow guidelines. Heck, I’m luck to color within the lines! As a matter of fact, don’t even bother giving me lines, I’ll probably just gesso over them anyway!)

    Just my take on the swap. If I’m ‘out of line’ (get it! Ha, Ha, Ha!) let me know.
