Free Chunky Knit Cowl Pattern

// August 8th, 2012 // Uncategorized

Yeah, you read that right. I’m talking about a Chunky. Knit. Cowl.

It may not feel like scarf season just yet, but for knitters, it is time to start our engines for holiday knitting. Each year I try to knit a scarf for our teachers, friends, and family.

Recently, I have discovered another infinity scarf that you could wear doubled up around your neck like a cowl when you’re outside and then let it out and wear it long when you get inside where it’s warmer…it would still give you some indoor style without all the warmth up around your neck. Don’t fret, you will NOT be knitting in the round! This is a flat pattern that you sews the ends together when you are done.

It is knit with a chunky yarn on size 15 needles! I used Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick Yarn.

I was madly in love with scarf  knitting when I first began to knit. Knitted scarves are a fabulous way to learn pattern, try stitches you have never tried before, and can be an elegant (and frugal) gift to give when the holiday season rolls around. I love to knit scarves and I want to share with you this fun patterns to add to your knitting projects!
