MY ART JOURNAL PAGE FROM LIVE SHOW

// July 19th, 2012 // Blog, Mixed Media, Journals & Papercraft, Uncategorized

I had such a blast on my live show the other day. We have a few kinks to work out early on in the show, but we got them ironed out rather quickly. I haven’t been on live in months and months so that was my first foray into Live again, so I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit nervous, but by the end of the show, I thought it came out good. On the live show, I showed how I like to do layers in a Moleskine journal using different techniques and layers. Here is the live show-HERE (Just give a few minutes as we were figuring out before it starts!)

In this video, I show how I added a paper butterfly using three different sizes for added dimension. I glittered and played with a few different techniques to give you an idea of the variety of things you can try and play with. You can see that HERE

I love having journals to play with and practice in because you really don’t have to have an intended outcome. You can just PLAY! In the future I will show you how to make an inexpensive journal using paper lunch bags from the dollar store OR just from scrapbook paper you have at home with string or yarn. You do not have to be a professional binder in the way that I do it. I think art should be fun and if you don’t try out new techniques from time to time, how will you know what works and what doesn’t? Plus, you might just discover your new favorite technique!

Any questions just ask and I will help you or one of the many talented people on our http://thingscrafty.ning can help. It is free to sign up and there are so many exciting things on there and such talented people. Please enjoy the videos and subscribe to mine at Knittingandthings and the Polymerclaytv/thingscrafty youtubes. Thank you
